120 years of support for the enrichment and enhancement of the collections of the Musée National d'Art Moderne

The Friends of the Centre Pompidou have supported the enrichment and influence of the collections of the National Museum of Modern Art in France and abroad for over a century. With a community of more than 800 committed and passionate members, the association allows each year the acquisition of major works for the benefit of the Museum's collections. In addition to enriching the collections, the association also contributes to supporting research grants, exhibitions and restoration projects. With more than 200 works entering the collection each year and 3 to 7 research grants per year, the association is the leading patron of the National Museum of Modern Art. Beaux Arts Éditions accompanies this anniversary with an exceptional issue retracing the shared history between the association and the institution, its most emblematic acquisitions, looking back on the personalities who left their mark and on all 14 acquisitions committees and research (GAAC, GAP, GAD, SC FR, GLOBAL, MENA, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, North America, Europe, Central Europe, Turkey), the actions it has been carrying out for 120 years now, in France and on the various international artistic scenes.
